The invention concerns a hybrid engine motor vehicle whereof the monitoring system takes into account reduction of pollution by the heat engine. To achieve this without increasing reaction delays to torque requests (9) by the driver, the monitor (1) comprises means (G) for power management which produces parameters determining the heat engine (2) operating point and means (R) for distributing torque (CT) between the heat engine (2) and the electric engine (5). The invention is applicable to the automotive industry.
