The connection between a metal (1) and a plastic (2) pipe comprises a narrow section (3) on the metal pipe which fits inside the plastic pipe and a metal locking ring (4) which fits over the junction and has a smaller diameter in the area which fits over the narrow section. The plastic pipe has a corresponding narrow section which fits between the metal pipe and locking ring. An Independent claim is included for a method for producing the connection.
