Device for measuring angles has a fine measurement system (3, 11) with which rotation angles of a rotating object between 0 and 360 degrees are measured, a device for gearing down the primary rotational velocity into a secondary rotational velocity, a coarse measurement system (2) with which the number of complete revolutions is measured and an analysis unit (12) that combines the measurements. An interpolation system (9, 10) is used to measures states of the second rotational velocity that are used to correlate the gearing down mechanism.
