A hydrogen-permeable structure which comprises a base material (1) containing a porous ceramic and, formed on the base material (1), a hydrogen-permeable film (2) which contains palladium (Pd) and at least one element except palladium and exhibits the dissolution of hydrogen therein being less than that of palladium. The hydrogen-permeable film (2) is formed on the surface of the base material (1) containing a porous ceramic through the physical vapor deposition method.
