The lace (4) for a sports boot (1) comprises a central portion (40) and two attached end portions (41,42). The central portion has a section less than that of the two end portions and is made in a single piece from a continuous wire plait. The central portion is plaited more tightly than the looser end portions. The sports boot comprises a sole (10) and an upper (11) having a front part (110) and a rising part (111) which covers the base of the leg. The upper has an opening (112) for the passage of the foot delimited by two front side quarters (110a,110b) and two upper side quarters (111a,111b). The lace has a first portion (40) engaging a first series of lace returns (20) and two second end portions (41,42) engaging a second series of returns (21) and is terminated by two free ends. |
