<p>The radio data system involves transmission of traffic information as synthetic speech. Various types of message sentence structures are available (1, 2, 3) and words from a dictionary (4) are combined (5, 6, 7). The results are processed (9, 10, 11) with the coded speech signals being subjected to a decoding operation (12) followed by speech generation (13) based upon control of a digital filter. The digital signals are converted (14) for input to an audio amplifier (15) coupled to a loudspeaker (16).</p> |
