REACTIVE MICROBIAL MEDIA AND TREATMENT METHOD OF WASTEWATER BY USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A reactive microbial media and treatment method of wastewater by using the same are provided, which can promotes metabolism of microorganisms and reaction of oxidation and reduction of various substrates by containing metallic catalyst and activated carbon on the surface of matrix. CONSTITUTION: The present invention is characterized in that shell powder, activated carbon and at least one metal selected from the group consisting of titanium oxide, aluminum oxide and nickel oxide are applied on the surface of fibrous polyethylene carrier panel. The portion of activated carbon in this microbial media is over 20%(w/w). This microbial media is respectively installed in aeration tank and sedimentation tank, positive current is applied to the aeration tank while negative current is applied to the sedimentation tank.
