PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper sheets accumulation device inhibiting a generation of trouble between paper sheets. SOLUTION: In the paper sheets accumulation device, a conveying passage for conveying paper sheets to collect and retain them at a predetermined part, the paper sheets collected are temporarily retained at a temporary accumulation guide 7 disposed above an accumulation part 1 for accumulating and retaining the paper sheets collected and at the time of a collection to the accumulation part 1, the accumulation guide 6 is retained by an accumulation guide shaft 11 against the accumulation part 1 and the temporary accumulation guide 7 and is vertically driven by a driving source 10 such as a plunger, etc. The device is provided with a temporary accumulation stopper 4 urged by a temporary accumulation stopper spring 5 so that rear ends of the paper sheets conveyed to the accumulation part 1 can be clamped and retained on the temporary accumulation guide 7. Accordingly, the paper sheets to be accumulated conveyed to the accumulation part 1 are retained in the state that the rear ends are placed on the temporary accumulation guide 7 and are pushed down on proceeding paper sheets by the accumulation guide 6. Thereby, a generation of jamming between the adjacent paper sheets is prevented.
