PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorptive article which hardly gives rise to leakage and sweatiness even in the case of a large amount of excretion, having an excellent wearing feel and high absorptivity and excellent leakage preventive ness. SOLUTION: This absorptive article has a liquid permeable front surface layer 2, a liquid impermeable leakproof layer 3 and a liquid holdable absorption layer 4. The absorption layer 4 consists of hydrophilic fibers or hydrophilic foam not swollen with water, or the hydrophilic fibers or hydrophilic foam of <=0.7 g/g in a water holding amount when centrifugally dried after swelling with the water, and high water absorptive polymer. A physiological salt aq. solution is absorbed at 10 g into the absorptive article 1 and the immobilization rate of the physiological salt aq. solution when the absorptive article is centrifugally dried after five minutes is >=90%.
