PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sulky mowing apparatus for cutting off weeds in furrows through riding into a paddy field with growing rice seedlings under traction through fixation to the lift on the rear portion of a sulky rice transplanter. SOLUTION: This sulky mowing apparatus for furrows has such a construction that the sliding roller 21 of a slide arm 3 linked via a hydraulic joint 22 to a hydraulic cylinder 15 is put to rolling contact with a longer frame body 1 connectedly fixed to the lift link B of a sulky rice transplanter A, the tip of the longer frame body 1 is provided with a planar cutting blade 5 and a normal cutting blade 8; wherein the planar cutting blade 5 is directly connected to the vertical shaft of a motor 4 for plane, a plane sensor 9 for sensing the upper and lower positions of the blade face is disposed above the planar cutting blade 5, the sensing switch 10 thereof is connected with the electromagnetic hydraulic valve 11 of a hydraulic cylinder 12 for the lift link B; while the normal cutting blade 8 is directly connected to the motor 1 for normal face of a slant frame body 6 capable of regulating angle of inclination attached in close proximity to the planar cutting blade 5, and the sensing switch for a normal sensor 13 for sensing the inclination height of the normal cutting blade 8 is connected with the electromagnetic hydraulic valve 14 for the sulky rice transplanter A functioning to actuate the hydraulic cylinder 15.
