PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cordierite joint body having enough strength, durable for practical use, and a method of manufacturing it. SOLUTION: The joint body characterized in that it is integrated with a plurality of members of cordierite based sintered compacts via joint parts contains at least one element selected from group 3 elements of the periodic table, and especially it is preferably that the joint part contains cordierite.
