PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automated storage and retrieval warehouse having an improved high storage efficiency like a conventional one, which ensures a maintenance space for a worker, minimizes a building area required for a warehouse space, and enables to efficiently utilize a site. SOLUTION: In this warehouse, a stacker crane of a center mast system provided with lifting transporting machines forward and backward of a traveling direction of the crane of center mast, is equipped. Rack columns are arranged along a traveling direction of the stacker crane from an end portion of a wall surface of the warehouse, and a rack plate 2 is transversely mounted on the rack columns 1. A rack plate receiver 3 on which one end of the rack plate is fixed is rotationally journaled on a rear side rack column 1a to the traveling passage, and a front side rack column 1b is provided with a rack plate supporting portion 5 for supporting the other end of the rack plate. The rack plate is rotationally fixed to thereby provide a maintenance portion.
