PURPOSE:To make the current capacities of switching elements smaller, to reduce the size and copper loss, and to reduce current stress applied to the switching elements and capacitors. CONSTITUTION:A dead time period for stopping inverter operation is provided just before the polarity reversal operation of output voltage. During the dead time period, charge stored in a capacitor C by charging is discharged by a load 2. And the mode is shifted to an output voltage polarity reversal mode, after the capacitor voltage lowers. When the charge of the capacitor C is discharged during the dead time period, an impedance element Z is connected in parallel with the capacitor C, if the load impedance is high, if the discharging speed is wanted to be raised, etc. Consequently, it becomes possible to raise the discharging speed of the charge of the capacitor C. |
