PURPOSE: A simple, easy and inexpensive adjustable phase shifter is provided to change the phase of a digital signal. CONSTITUTION: The phase shifter for adjusting the phase of an output digital signal while maintaining the symmetry of the input signal comprising an input waveform signal(10), a comparator(20), an adjustable resistor(30) and an output waveform signal(40). The comparator(20) has a positive feedback path to an input and an output. The adjustable resistor(30) is connected along the positive feedback path to the output of the comparator(20) and to the positive input of the comparator(20). Thereby, the phase shifter produces the output waveform signal(40) shifted in phase from the input waveform signal(10) with the same duty cycle as the input waveform signal(10).
