NEW CYTOCHROME P450 PROTEINS AND THE CORRESPONDING DNA SEQUENCES

The present invention relates to a new protein, that can be produced from a new cytochrome P450 gene sequence, use thereof as a medical and in evaluating drug metabolism, in drug design and drug screening, and in tests for adjusting the dose of drugs. It also relates to a composition comprising the protein, a nucleic acid sequence encoding this protein, an oligonucleotide probe consisting of a short fragment of such a nucleic acid sequence e g a DNA sequence, a primer complementary to a short fragment of the DNA sequence, a vector for expression of the cytochrome P450 protein and a host cell comprising such a vector. Finally, the present invention relates to a method for producing proteins originating from RNA trans-splicing and especially to a method for producing the cytochrome P450 protein.
