Diurethane-protected benzotriazole-1-carboxamidine derivatives (I) are new. Diurethane-protected benzotriazole-1-carboxamidine derivatives of formula (I) are new. X = H or electron-withdrawing substituent; and R1, R2 = urethane protecting groups. An Independent claim is included for the preparation of (I).
