In a display unit having an array of liquid crystal cells and a corresponding array of display driver circuits (10) for each of the liquid crystal cells (20), each display driver circuit in the corresponding array includes an analog memory element (14) and a differential amplifier (16) coupled between the analog memory element and the liquid crystal cell. The differential amplifier provides isolation between the analog memory element and the liquid crystal cell.
