PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a housing case capable of reducing consuming amounts of a synthetic resin material necessary for housing a piece of plate-like product without deteriorating an exterior appearance and a method of manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: The housing case is provided with a case main body 20 equipped with a housing part 23 of a compact disc 1 and, a pair of single housing cases 12, which is comprised of a sheet material of synthetic resin, has cover members 40 connected to the case main body 20 through integral hinges 11 to be freely openable and closable. As the cover members 40 to be seated outside, a pair of single housing cases 12 are bonded in such a way as the both back sides of the cases main bodies 20 are faced each other.
