PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outboard engine capable of easily diagnosing the matching and allowing easy diagnosis of the cause of engine disorder and the like. SOLUTION: At each specified sampling period (for example, one min), the engine speed, the degree of throttle opening and the like are recorded as the latest operating condition data for a specified recording time (for example, 13 min). The operating condition data is received as applicable by a diagnosis support system, and the part in which the operating condition data remains unchanged and goes approximately constant is taken up as the operating condition data when the operation is performed in steady condition. Examination is made to know whether the navigation load (boat load) is in the proper range on the basis of the relation between the engine speed, the degree of throttle opening and the like contained in this operating condition data, and thereby a diagnosis is passed whether the matching between the outboard engine, hull, and propeller remains proper. |
