PURPOSE: An apparatus is provided which prevents deterioration of plating adhesion by cutting off permeation of the atmosphere into a heating furnace through the lower opening part of a snout with upper and lower gates, and prevents contamination of a roll due to a plating solution by cooling the plating solution on the surface of a strip. CONSTITUTION: In a strip plating equipment comprising a snout installed at the end part of a heating furnace, a plating tank filled with a plating solution and an air knife device, the apparatus for preventing air permeation into the heating furnace and cooling zinc on the surface of a strip comprises an interception part in which a middle casing(11) is removably equipped at the middle of a length of the snout, and permeation of an external air into the snout is cut off by rotationally operating rotation shafts of upper and lower gates(15a,15b) which are arranged parallel to each other inside the middle casing(11); and a cooling part consisting of a cooling plate(36) at front of which a plural nozzles(37) are formed is fixed onto the inner surface of the middle casing(11), and which is connected to a gas supply line supplying an atmospheric gas, and an other gas supply line(33a) which supplies the atmospheric gas into the inner space of the upper and lower gates(15a,15b) at front of which a plural nozzles are formed, thereby cooling a plating solution remained on the surface of the strip that is reversed into the heating furnace.
