PURPOSE: A method of overwriting data on a linking loss area is provided to record data from a corresponding block or a previous block, depending on a linking loss area decision, to suppress an error during a reading process, thereby improving a block error correction effect. CONSTITUTION: A host decides whether the first sector of a start block(target block) to write user data is a linking loss area(30). If not, the host records the user data on the target block(31). If the user data recording is completed on N ECC blocks, the host completes the process(32). If the first sector is the linking loss area, the host reads a previous block(33). If a reading of an ECC block 1 is completed, the host corrects a data type of a last sector of the ECC block 1 to '0b' from '1b'(34, 35). The host records read data of the ECC block 1 on the ECC block 1(36). If a data recording is completed on N+1 blocks, the host completes the process(37).
