PURPOSE: A system and method for notifying a BBS(Bulletin Board System) using an E-mail is provided to enable a user to load information on a BBS through E-mail. CONSTITUTION: In a system for connecting a web server(B) which manages a web information DB(100), a member information DB(102), a SPOOL(104), a bulletin board DB(106), and a registration bulletin material reporting DB(108) to a transmitter terminal(130) and a receiver terminal(140) through an Internet network(120) for transmitting/receiving an E-mail, the web server(B) comprises the below elements. An MTA(Message Transfer Agent,110) communicates to a UA(User Agent) which edits a message or temporarily accumulates a received message. An MDA(Mail Delivery Agent,112) possesses a bulletin board information file and transmits a message to the bulletin board DB(106). A bulletin board processing unit(114) possesses a user environment setting information file, manages the bulletin board DB(106), and transmits information to a bulletin board. A bulletin material transmission processing unit(116) manages the registration bulletin material reporting DB(108) and transmits data to the MDA(112) according to times previously fixed by a user.
