PURPOSE: A shock-absorbing hood lock of a vehicle is provided to protect a walker safe by minimizing the shock transmitted to the walker when the walker collides against a hood of a vehicle a head-on collision and to maintain the rigidity of the hood. CONSTITUTION: A shock-absorbing hood lock of a vehicle comprises a striker(110) having a hinge(111) fixed on the lower portion of a hood(1) and a weight(113) fixed on the other portion of the hood and supported on a support spring(114), a holder(120) fixed on the lower portion of the hood via a hinge(122) and having an end portion locked to a portion of the striker, and a shock sensor(130) to unlock the holder by pulling the holder when a shock is applied to the hood. When a walker is head-on collided, the hood is pressurized downward by the shock generated due to the collision of the body of the walker. Then, a shock sensing lever rotates clockwise by centering on a hinge. The holder rotates counterclockwise by centering on the hinge. The weight is separated from the holder and lowered downward. The striker is also lowered downward. Therefore, the shock is damped.
