A pressure-fluid-driven power unit comprising an annular cylinder space (1, 1a, 1b); at least one pair of pistons, the pistons (3, 5) being movable relative to each other and the first pistons (3) of the pairs of pistons being movably connected relative to the cylinder space (1, 1a, 1b) to rotate around its axis and the second pistons (5) being immovably connected relative to the cylinder space; and a transmission shaft (4). The power unit comprises locking members (8) that lock the first piston substantially immovably relative to the transmission shaft (4) when the piston (3) moves in a first direction and that correspondingly release the first piston (3) from said locking when the piston (3) moves in a second direction. Every other part of the cylinder space (1) between the pistons is a working part (V1) and every other part of the cylinder space (1) is a return part (V2).
