Patterned pasta-shells are prepared on industrial scale on an automatic prodn. line having a facility for continuous feed of starting materials and for prodn. of dough in vacuum. The dough (5) is passed through a die (4) by an extrusion auger. The tube shaped pasta (5) passes through a specially developed bore of a calendering disk. The edge of the disk circumscribes the surface of the tubular dough (5) to give it a threaded appearance. Once the final shape is formed the dough is cut to reqd. length by a cutting device (2). Lengths are varied by continuous adjustment of knife speed. |
