The device has measuring elements (21), containing flexible non-elastic flat or strip material, which are placed over the sections of the body to be measured. The elements have partial adhesive surfaces, and may be marked (22) while on the body and/or fixed in their positions. The adhesive surface has an adhesive tape, pref. double-sided tape. The material for the elements may be paper, plastic foil, or similar. The upper end of each element is retained in a holder, which is placed at the top of a body to be measured.
