The window shutter is mounted at the window opening by at least two strips (3), with their ends shaped into sleeves (6) to fit over vertical hinge pins at the window. A holding plate (10) is fitted to the frame leg (7) of the shutter, to take the mounting strip and its cover (9) to slide at right angles, and be locked in place by a clamping screw (15). The clamping screw passes through a longitudinal slit (11) in the holding plate and an elongated hole (8) at the mounting strip.
