PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information providing system capable of processing inhabitant's information possessed by local government and requests of service provided by inhabitants into data by which an individual person cannot be specified to provide it and intermediating between the requests of service of the inhabitants and the service provided by a service provider. SOLUTION: A marketing information generation part 13 extracts data satisfying retrieval conditions from private information database 11 and needs information database 12 based on the retrieval conditions set through a retrieval condition inputting and retrieval result displaying part 14 and processes the extracted data based on regional division information stored in regional division information database 10 to generate and output area marketing information obtained by rounding the results of retrieval anonymously per region. A service intermediate part 18 extracts service information satisfying needs information (inhabitants' requests for service) stored in the needs information database 12 from service information database 16 and outputs it.
