PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce temperature rise in the armature winding and the core of an dynamo-electric machine, that is, effectively cool the armature, which is prone to be the highest in temperature in a motor, and then the entire motor, by increasing the thermal gradient and the coefficient of thermal conductivity among the armature winding as a heating element, the core, and a motor mounting flange, and further reducing the thermal resistance of contact portions. SOLUTION: The dynamo-electric machine is so constructed that the core back portion of the armature core is exposed at an area opposite to the molded stator thereof and the end bracket 6b on the load side, and the core back portion is brought into direct contact with the end bracket 6b on the load side.
