PURPOSE: A coil driving apparatus is provided to prevent damage of circuit element and erroneous operation of device by rapidly absorbing a back electromotive force generated during the release of electronic contactor and reducing the releasing time. CONSTITUTION: A coil driving apparatus comprises a coil for sucking an electronic contactor(100), a power input unit(V1) for applying a power, and a coil driving unit(200) for absorbing the back electromotive force generated from the coil during the release of electronic contactor and reducing releasing time. The coil driving unit includes a first diode(D11) for receiving, via an anode, the power output from the power input unit, a second diode(D12) having an anode connected to a cathode of the first diode, a capacitor(C11) having an end connected to the anode of the first diode and the other end connected to a cathode of the second diode, a transistor(Q11) having an emitter connected to the cathode of the second diode, a resistance(R11) having an end connected to the capacitor and the other end connected to a base of the transistor, and a varistor(TNR11) having both ends connected to the emitter and collector of the transistor.
