PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface acoustic wave filter that has a miniaturized reflector resulting in being entirely miniaturized, has less dispersion in a group delay time characteristic and utilizes a Love wave. SOLUTION: This surface acoustic wave filter 1 utilizing a Love wave where at least one of IDTs 3, 4 and reflectors 5, 6 are formed on a piezoelectric substrate 1 and the IDTs 3, 4 and the reflectors 5, 6 are configured by using a metallic material whose density is higher than that of aluminum.
