PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera system by which silver-salt photographing can be synchronized with electronic photographing and the interlocking with a stroboscopic light be realized without incorrect photographing timing even if a CMOS image sensor is used in a camera for both silver-salt photographing and electronic photographing. SOLUTION: In this camera system, an object image is exposed on a silver- salt film (9), the object image on an area sensor (23) is recorded as a digital data, then an electronic photographing condition is determined, and a silver-salt photographing is synchronized with the electronic photographing. When a shutter is triggered, a silver salt standby time is determined depending on the electronic photographing condition, and after the completion of preparation of photographing, a preparation completion signal is outputted. When the silver salt standby time is passed, photographing is started using the preparation completion signal as a reference.
