PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuse element that enables improvement of arc resistance. SOLUTION: The fuse element 10 comprises a housing 12, a pair of terminals 13, 14 that protrude from the prescribed plane of the housing 12 and stand in parallel state, and a fuse element 15 that is connected between the base sides of the terminals 13, 14 and housed in the housing 12. The housing 12 is formed by a reinforced polyamide resin composition, that is obtained by polymerization of a monomer in a state where fluoromica system mineral exists 0.2-20 parts wt. with respect to the quantity of a monomer forming polyamide 100 parts wt. Hence the arc resistance of the fuse element 10 is improved.
