PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intermediate size vending machine suitable for installing in an office or the like. SOLUTION: A partitioning wall 3, an inclined article-mounting rack 5, an elevation table 6, a sloped member 7 and the like are arranged inside a box 2 in this vending machine. When an article 85 is stored, an opening and closing door 11 provided in a front face is opened, the article-mounting table 5 is pulled out to this side, and the articles are arranged thereafter. When the article is purchased, the elevation table 6 is operated to move an engaging piece 75, up to a portion mounted with the desired article. The engaging piece 75 is made to project from the inside of an elevation member 61 toward the article mounting table 5 side, an operation piece 53 is pushed to thereby change the attitude of a flapper 40. The article 85 is mounted on the top panel of the elevation member 61 to be elevated, the article 85 is dropped from an opening part 28 to the cavity chamber 25 side, and is moved slidedly to the front face side along a slope on the sloped member 7 to reach to an article taking-out port 22 in the front face.
