PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving device for a PDP and a plasma display device stabilized in operation by increasing a drive voltage margin. SOLUTION: The electrodes X, Y of the PDP 51 are connected to a switching element group 12 of the driving device 10 via inductors 20X, 20Y. The switching element group 12 is connected with a discharge current supply source 11 of the driving device 10. As the inductors 20X, 20Y, for example, solenoids, toroidally wound coils, or the like are applicable. Moreover, the inductors 20X, 20Y can also be configured by patterning the wiring between the electrodes X, Y and the switching group 12, for example in a zigzag form. Moreover, the discharge current supply source 11 is comprised of, for example, film capacitors and electrolytic capacitors, and as a substantial power supply, a high frequency current is supplied to the PDP 51.
