PURPOSE: An apparatus for guiding forward traffic information is provided to guide forward traffic information to a driver by using a VMS(Variable Message Signboard). CONSTITUTION: A VMS(106) is used for performing a realtime output of information provided from a VMS controller(108). The VMS controller(108) is formed with a hardware and a software. The hardware has a control portion, a communication portion, and a storage portion in order to control 8 multi-ports. The software of the VMS controller(108) is used for collecting the first information from a multitude of software detectors(110,112,114), storing the collected information, and transmitting the stored information to the VMS(106). The software detectors(110,112,114) are used for receiving information about a traffic state of a road, analyzing the received information, and generating traffic information.
