CHINESE HERBAL PLANT COMPOSITION FOR ENHANCING LEARNING AND MEMORY CONTAINING LYCII FRUCTUS

摘要

PURPOSE: A Chinese herbal plant composition containing a Lycii fructus extract as an effective ingredient is provided which is useful in enhancing memory in patients suffering from dementia and Alzheimer's disease as well as improving learning memory and various memory disorders caused by ageing. CONSTITUTION: Lycii fructus is mixed with a solvent selected from the group consisting of ethyl alcohol, petroleum ether, chloroform and methyl alcohol in a ratio of 1:2(w/v), extracted, concentrated under reduced pressure and freeze-dried after filtering.
