PURPOSE: A flash memory ROM(Read-Only Memory) writer is provided to promote productivity and to offer convenience to an operator by making possible direct data writing in a flash memory when a communication board has a trouble. CONSTITUTION: The flash memory ROM writer comprises a parallel port(100), a first address buffer(200), a second address buffer(300), a third address buffer(400), and a control unit(500). The parallel port is connected to a 12-bit printer port of a computer(1) via a printer cable(2) to connect the computer with the flash memory ROM writer. The first address buffer latches 8-bit address data of address lines from zero to seven. The second address buffer latches 8-bit address data of address lines from eight to fifteen. The third address buffer latches 8-bit address data of address lines from sixteen to twenty-three. The control unit sequentially selects the address buffers with response to the transmission of a 4-bit address latch signal from the computer and 24-bit address data and controls the address buffers. If the computer alternately transmits an even or odd write control signal and 8-bit even or odd data, the control unit controls the alternate writing of the data in an even and an odd flash memories(3,4).
