PURPOSE: To provide a dust core which is low in loss and has high saturation magnetic flux density, magnetic permeability, and frequency characteristic. CONSTITUTION: Ferromagnetic powder for dust core contains ferromagnetic metal powder, an insulating material, and a lubricant. The insulating material contains a phenol resin and/or a silicone resin and the lubricant contains at least one kind of lubricant selected from among magnesium stearate, calcium stearate, strontium stearate, and barium stearate.
