<p>PURPOSE: A wastewater treatment system using activated carbon is provided, which can maximize organic degradation efficiency by installing a contact media made of activated carbon inside each aeration chamber. CONSTITUTION: Contact media(24) that is constituted by packing activated carbon in a net bag is suspended vertically in each aeration chamber(10)(12)(14) and fine air bubble that is supplied via diffuser(26) come into contact with the contact media as rising upward. In the contact media aerobic microorganism is fixed on the outer surface thereof, whereas anaerobic microorganism is immobilized inside the contact media.</p> |
