<p>A device for measuring the width of a furnace capable of rapidly and easily measuring the width of the furnace walls opposed to each other in a hot furnace chamber such as a coke-oven carbonizing chamber without installing cooling water piping and capable of withstanding a high temperature within a time required for inserting measuring equipment into the furnace, measuring the width, and extracting the measuring equipment, comprising a measurement unit (2) having a furnace width measurer (8) and a power supply (10), characterized in that the measurement unit (2) is stored in an endothermic box (3) having an endothermic capacity, and the outside of the endothermic box (3) is covered with insulating material (4), the endothermic box (3) being a jacket filled with liquid (7) having an endothermic capacity, and the liquid (7) desirably being water, the measurement unit (2) further comprising a wireless transmitter (18) for transmitting furnace width measurement data to an external data recorder (22) or a data recorder (9), and the endothermic box (3) further comprising an outlet (23) for discharging the liquid (7) provided in the lower part thereof.</p> |
