The machine tool to be operated with either a tool or a second spindle (4) joined to the main spindle (2), is fitted with a first coupling part (8) located at the auxiliary spindle (4) and the complementary part (18) attached to the housing (1) of the main spindle. The second coupling part (18) is moved into a working position towards the first part (8) by an hydraulically operated cylinder (16) in an acute angle in order to keep the device as small as possible and to facilitate a quick and easy operation. |
