PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inventory management system allowing less experienced workers to do inventory-taking work in a short time and the head quarter office of a company having a number of stores to immediately seize inventories in each store during inventory-taking. SOLUTION: In inventory-taking at an A-store, a carrier brings an inventory management personal computer 1, a CD-ROM 2, HDTs 3i (3a, 3b, etc.), HDT connectors 4i (4a, 4b, etc.), a printer 5 and connection cables into the A-store and connects them to a store management server 6 in the A-store. The inventory management personal computer 1 outputs an unmatching list or, etc., using the printer 5 for rescanning when HDT data is different from inventory data for the store management server 6. If a difference from actual data still exists, rescanned result data is determined as a current inventory and the inventory data is renewed and stored in the CD-ROM 2. Each time the HDT 3i accumulates the actual data for shelves Ai, the inventory management personal computer 1 displays the shelves Ai in shelf layout on a screen by colors depending on working types. |
