PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect stored data and shorten data processing by controlling inputs/outputs of a receiving buffer having a ring structure. SOLUTION: A data controller for controlling data inputs/outputs to the receiving buffer (1) having the ring structure is provided with a command discrimination unit (6) for discriminating whether data received by the receiving buffer having the ring structure are printing data or reception control commands, a control discrimination unit (7) for outputting control signals so as to control inputs of the receiving buffer based on the command when it is discriminated that the data are the reception control command for every page or for a plurality of pages, and a pointer control unit (8) for controlling inputs/outputs of the receiving buffer according to the control signals.
