PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolled paper cutting method and a facsimile device capable of cutting rolled paper at a constant length or a desirable length for delivery when initially setting the rolled paper. SOLUTION: When rolled paper is exchanged or rolled paper is reset after releasing a jam and a paper cycle mode is set, a facsimile device checks a RAM whether a paper cycle length is registered or not, and in the case of YES, the registered paper cycle length is converted to a count value for rolled paper feeding and this count value is set in a counter. In the case of NO, a preset regulation value is converted to a count value for rolled paper feeding, and this count value is set in the counter. Then, the facsimile device starts to carry the rolled paper, and when a paper feeding sensor is turned on, the counter starts to count, and when the count value reaches the set count value, a cutter is driven to cut the rolled paper for delivery. The cut and delivered recording paper can be effectively utilized as a standard size paper sheet.
