PURPOSE: A crude drug composition containing 8 kinds of Chines medicinal plants as a main component is provided which is effective in prevention and treatment of hyperlipidemia and angina caused by myocardial ischemia. CONSTITUTION: This crude drug composition comprises wild rocambole, Trichosanthis Semen, Angelicae gigantis radix, Salvia Miltiorrhizae Bunge, Cinnamomi Ramulus, Curcuma longa, Paeonia lactiflora and Pinelliae Rhizoma in the ratio of 1 to 10:0.5 to 6:0.5 to 6:0.1 to 5:0.1 to 5:0.1 to 5, based on the total dry weight. The composition has been shown to have a prevention and suppression effect on heart function damage caused by ischemia by administration to a rat in an amount of 600mg for 7 days.
