PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of introducing an oxidizing agent gas into a CO selectively oxidizing apparatus for surely suppressing the CO concentration in a fuel gas discharged from the CO selectively oxidizing apparatus to not higher than the upper limit value. SOLUTION: The CO selectively oxidizing apparatus 4 for producing carbon dioxide to remove CO by the selectively oxidizing reaction of carbon monoxide contained in the hydrogen enriched fuel gas fed from a reformer 3 and the oxidizing agent gas with air is included. The air is introduced into the CO selectively oxidizing apparatus 4 from an air introducing device 5. Perturbation is given to the air in the air introducing device 5 and air is periodically introduced intermittently into the CO removing apparatus 4.
