<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wall, through installation type hot water heater wherein mounting work is facilitated without obstruction upon bathing, by arbitrarily disposing the upper portion or an upper edge of a bathtub wall surface. SOLUTION: An outer wall through installation type hot water heater is as follows. A hot water heater is adapted, such that it comprises a heat exchanger, a hot water pipe located downstream of the heat exchanger, a hot water supply cock pipe, and a bathtub pipe branching from the hot water pipe and connected with the bathtub. In the hot water heater, there are provided an opening/closing valve on the bathtub pipe, a water amount sensor on the upstream side of the heat exchanger, and a control section, that includes accumulation means for accumulating a water amount obtained from the water amount sensor to calculate a hot water amount in the bathtub, set means for previously setting the hot water amount in the bathtub. A hot water injection port to the bathtub is disposed on the upper portion of the wall surface of the bathtub or the upper edge of the bathtub, and the control section opens the foregoing opening/closing valve at the time, when the hot water amount in the bathtub calculated by the accumulation means and the hot water amount in the bathtub set by the foregoing set means become equal.</p> |
