PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an antimicrobial cosmetic having excellent antimicrobial effect and also antifluffing and antipruritic effects and deodorant effect, free from color tone discoloration and side effects such as skin irritancy, and good in touch feeling when applied. SOLUTION: This antimicrobial cosmetic is obtained by formulating microparticles comprising an antimicrobial metallic component and an inorganic oxide other than the antimicrobial metallic component; wherein it is preferable that the microparticles are prepared from an antimicrobial inorganic oxide colloid solution with the microparticles dispersed therein.
