PURPOSE: A covering bag for fruit obtained by treatment of water repelling agents, insect proofing agents, antimicrobial agents and humidity controlling agents on the surface of base paper is provided which has an effect on increasing a sugar content by 18.9% or more and the weight of fruit by 15.6% or more and reducing skin russeting by 20% or more. CONSTITUTION: The covering bag is prepared by lining or coating a humidity controlling agent on the inside of base paper and the humidity controlling agent is selected from 1 to 10% by weight of an organic or inorganic salt and 10 to 20% by weight of an inorganic filler. The organic humidity-controlling agent is ethylene glycol, propylene glycol or glycerine, the inorganic filler is bentonite, montmorillonite or diatomaceous earth, and the inorganic salt is sodium phosphate or sodium dihydrogen phosphate.
